You now have access to the entire Looping Ukrainian archive and member discussion section. Make sure you sign in! (top right)
New material is published every Monday at 10:00 AM MST. You'll receive an email at the same time letting you know it's available. That way you don't have to check back or wonder if you're missing anything - I'll keep you up to date on everything new.
A test email has just been sent to confirm it lands in your inbox rather than your spam or promotions folder. It includes steps to follow if it ends up anywhere besides your inbox.
If you'd prefer not to receive the weekly email, you can opt out anytime in your account settings. Instructions on how to do so are below, along with some answers to questions you might have about your account and subscription.
How do I change my personal information and profile picture?
Account > Edit
Currently the only way to change your profile picture is through a third-party site called Gravatar. It's free, and I've gone through the setup myself, but it does add an extra step.
As much as I'd like to put a face to every name, I understand if you choose to leave your profile picture blank. This is a limitation of the platform I'm using to build and host Looping Ukrainian, and I'm hoping they'll change this in the future.
I want to be a member but don't want to receive the weekly email, how do I opt out?
Account > Manage Emails
I understand not wanting another email, especially if your inbox is already overflowing. Just keep in mind that you may miss occasional information and updates about the site or invitations to periodic livestreams. You'll also need to check back each week on your own for new material.
You can toggle this option back on at any time to begin receiving the emails again.
I'm also getting emails when people respond to my comments, how do I turn that off?
Account > Manage Emails
One of the best parts of the member discussion section is that it gives you extra practice with the language. In the beginning, it’s usually helpful to keep this feature turned on. Later, if you find yourself very active in the discussions, you may prefer to switch it off.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Account > Change Looping Ukrainian Membership
Cancellations are not pro-rated, and you'll retain access to Looping Ukrainian for the period you've already paid for.
If there's something I could improve that might make you reconsider cancelling, please feel free to reach out. I'm always looking for ways to make the site better.
Unlike other platforms that take a cut of your subscription, nearly all of your support goes directly to me. This helps cover the costs of running the site and keeps both of us accountable. If you ever decide Looping Ukrainian isn't for you, you can cancel at any time - no hard feelings.
